Sexual Chakras

Bet you didn’t know that your chakra health is directly affected by the person(s) that you come into sexual contact with. Choosing a sexual partner is usually a connection between partners.  A connection may include any combination of the following: mental, physical, emotional, social, psychological, and in some cases, financial (one of the oldest professions).  I guess lust falls under any of those categories also.

Sharing another sexually may leave unwanted vibrational influences to the other that may cause the other’s natural vibration to not sync

Cleanse your chakras daily with a basic morning / noon / night yoga ritual…“Sun Salutations”.  This is a combination of yoga poses that has multiple cleansing, balancing and refocusing benefits.  Chakra hygene.

It was once written…

Pay attention to who you share your intimate energy with. Intimacy at this level intertwines your aural energy with the aural energy of the other person. These powerful connections, regardless of how insignificant you think they are, leave spiritual debris, particularly within people who do not practice any type of cleansing, physical, emotional or otherwise.

The more you interact intimately with someone, the deeper the connection and the more of their aura intertwined with yours.

Imagine the confused aura of someone who sleeps with multiple people and carries around these multiple energies? What they may not realize is that others can feel that energy which can repel positive energy and attract negative energy into your life.

I always say, “Never sleep with someone you wouldn’t want to be.” ~Lisa Chase Patterson

I say, well said.

Purchasing and incorporating more fresh fruits into your diet is sometimes not as easy or economical as buying pre-packaged, processed fruits.  Fresh fruits tend to ripen fast when not eaten within a few days after the purchase.  A great rule of thumb is to shop for fresh produce often, and eat them frequently.  If your produce does begin to show signs of over-ripening, simply cut them up and freeze them in plastic bags or air-tight containers.  They will last for up to 6 months frozen opposed to 6 days at room temperature.  Once they are frozen, there are many things that can be done with these frozen goodies.

Making something tasty out of leftover or over-ripe, frozen fruit made easy.

I like the taste of ice cream but don’t like how it makes my belly feel after eating it.  Now I enjoy the creamy texture and taste of ice cream without all the aftereffects that comes with it.  Yummy frozen yogurt did the trick.  Frozen yogurt has pro-biotics and cultures that aids in the proper digestion process, not only of the yogurt itself, but of foods that will be eaten later.  Instead of cut fruit, I topped the yogurt (vanilla) with blended frozen fruit to increase the flavor and enhance its nutritional content.  Any type of blended frozen fruit will do, as long as it is tasty.  Balancing flavors and textures brings the WOW factor to your taste buds.

Eat More Fruits!

This is a quick and easy way to enjoy a basic treat that can be altered to your taste.  Recipe will be available soon for you to try it yourself.

Lauren Von Der Pool my Friend, Vegan Chef, & Muse

Lets talk about the complete package of Health & Wellness. Flexability & Balance. I did a photo shoot with one of todays most talked about, young entrepreneurs that just so happens to be vegan and follows the rules of balance.  Lauren Von Der Pool, a great artistic muse.

Lauren is the young President/CEO of her own vegan food company Von Der Pool Gourmet, Inc.  She has created, formed and established this business from recognizing the needs of a nutritionally starved community and society.  A native Washingtonian that I am happy to call a personal friend.  There is so much to say about her and what she is doing, I could never cover it all in a brief blog.  Be on the lookout for hr forthcoming book 'Eat Yourself Sexy'.  In the meantime, I will just share a couple pictures of out fantastic photo shoot last Monday in Washington, DC...

She's such a natural and so easy to work with... Keep your ear to the ground for more from her. I will keep you posted (...if I can keep up with her... lol).  I hope I did'nt leak too much information about her book.  Google her for more information.

In your personal quest for Peace, Harmony & Balance, surround yourself with like-minded friends and happiness is sure to follow.
It's Been A While, but...

It's been a really long time since I have posted on this blog, but I am here to spark-up more interest and information in my efforts to keep a focus on 'art of yoga' and all that it pertains to in my world of zin.  I have been doing many things to elevate my personal health and welfare as well as getteing a better understanding of 'meeting folks where they are at'.  I have been conducting Organic Juicing events where folks can learn the basics of fresh produce combinations to maximize their health and nutritional intake.  I have also been creating new recipes that are easy to make as well as remember.  All the while, I am still doing at least 60 minutes a day of yoga.  Please stay connected for the book in the close future.  Shown, are a few pictures I'm sharing just to throw it out there.  N'Ameste'

The combination of Apples (sweetness), Kale (nutrient dense bitter) and Ginger (spicy antioxidant) provides enough energy and taste to satisfy even the hardest working desk-worker and athelete alike.  Perfect to the palate and for the body all the same.  I would suggest you to create a perfect combination that works for you.  Enjoy!

Refresh

Replacing the old with the new is often a good thing… unless it’s something that’s still in good-shape, and/or still fully functioning.  Replacing things that are no longer of use could be a window to prosperity and wisdom.  Give yourself an invigorating, 5 minute oil change.   A quick mental cleanse and refresher while physically giving the body stress-relieving attention.

Sometimes it’s difficult to make a conscious decision to stop the world (your world) from spinning so quickly and moving so rapidly.  No matter how hard you try, there is still one more thing that needs to be done.  As soon as you feel like you need a break, take it.  Stop.  Breathe in.  Exhale.  Now follow this quick technique to start the process of renew.

Stop.  Breathe in.  Breathe out.  Find a focal point as you put everything on hold for the next 5 minutes.  Sit comfortably in an erect position where your spine is straight.  Imagine that you have a string attached to your base chakra (located in the under groin area).  The string has 7 knots, tied from the base to the top of your head.  As you remain comfortably seated, spine erect, move your hands from your lap to over your head.  With hands ending over your head, you should have all fingers touching the opposite hand’s fingers in the shape of a diamond.  Breathe regularly.  With every exhale, imagine that you are gently pulling on the string at the top of your head slowly untying each knot from the bottom, up.  Take about 60 seconds to visualize and untie each knot.  Slowly lower arms and welcome you (yourself) back to reality… the list has gotten so much easier.

Strength and Stability

The Standing Tree pose is one of the most multifunctional poses that I practice with minimal/limited time and space.  Everything that's built to last has a strong foundation and core.  To help build and strengthen the foundation and core, I practice this pose just before venturing into making sharp and clear decisions or shifting gears (multi-tasking) because it does lots more than just core strengthening.

This pose has quick benefits that is noticed almost immediately like a calming mood, improved breathing, stimulating blood flow yet maintaining an even blood presure, and instant clarity & focus.  Of course the benefits of being physically active, within itself, can go without being stated.   Having a strong center/core and stable foundation as a combination promotes overall strength and power.

It's as simple as finding a location where you can stand upright, can spread your arms fully on both sides and can breathe.  Stand stable. Both arms to your side. Breath.  Lift one leg, place your foot on the upper-inside of the opposite leg.  Keep balance, look forward. Breath.  Maintaining your balance, extend your arms from your sides, stretched out to each side. Breath.  Arms over your head, then down to Nameste. Breath.  Hold 30 - 90 sec. Breathe and release pose.  Do opposite side equal amount of time.

Go. Prosper.
